The City of Benahavís and the company Aguas de Benahavís have presented a new campaign that aims to emphasize the responsible consumption of water resources in homes. With this initiative, it is intended to put at the service of citizens a series of useful and simple tips to preserve a vital and finite resource. The presentation was attended by the mayor of the town, José Antonio Mena, and the manager of Aguas de Benahavís, Óscar Ruiz, who have valued a campaign to take care of the environment

This dissemination and awareness campaign will be spread through brochures and advice through the invoice, in order to reach the largest number of inhabitants of Benahavís. Various recommendations will be offered for the different rooms of our houses so as not to waste a single drop of water: in the kitchen, bathroom, garden, or pool and rustic plots.

This initiative joins the actions that Aguas de Benahavís and the town hall develop throughout the year with the youngest of the population. Last school year, a total of 100 students of 3rd and 4th Primary of the CEIP Daidín participated in the Aqualogía educational program that teaches schoolchildren about responsible water consumption and environmental care. The objective is to show them behaviors that achieve a sustainable use of the resource from its consumption until its return to the environment.
