Aguas de Benahavís will repair a sewer pipe without opening up trenches using the latest technology

The works will be carried out in Calle El Moral, using the innovative techniques that are currently available

Aguas de Benahavís, a company that manages the municipal water supply and sewer system service in Benahavís, in its commitment to the most innovative technology, will repair the sewer pipe along Calle El Moral without having to open up a trench in the municipal road. Currently, this infrastructure has structural damage, which must be resolved, while avoiding as far as possible any impact on the population.

These works to repair the sewage pipe will take place on Monday, 5 February, and will be undertaken as part of the 'trenchless technology' programme. Through this system, the duration of the tasks undertaken by operators is reduced considerably, and the impact on residents and shopkeepers in the area is reduced.

At the same time, conventional heavy machinery and digging are not used, which means that the existing paving can be left intact, and risks to other pipes and utilities are eliminated. Consequently, traffic will not have to be cut in this area. For a few hours, the entry of vehicles to garages in buildings on the street will be restricted.

Aguas de Benahavís' application of this new technology to repair the sewer reflects the company's philosophy, which is committed to continuous improvement of processes, excellence in quality and technological innovation.
